Three Wedding Venues with Breath-Taking Scenery in Miami Beach

Wedding photographers in Miami have one of the best jobs around: Not only do they get to photograph gorgeous, happy couples on the best day of their lives, but they get to photograph these couples in some of the most picturesque settings in the U.S. From the city’s white, sandy beaches to its stunning ocean views, Miami is truly a visual delight. While many locations in Miami provide breath-taking backdrops for wedding or engagement photographs, we’ve chosen three locales in Miami that will not only please the eye on the day of your wedding, but for years to come every time you look at your wedding album.
Built at the dawn of the Jazz Age in 1910 as a winter retreat for American Industrialist James Deering, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is one of Miami-Dade County’s most stunning landmarks. The worlds of art, architecture, design, and horticulture combine to create a truly memorable backdrop for your wedding photographs. The ornate, Gilded Age-inspired interiors are sumptuous to behold, as are the lush exterior gardens with mazes, fountains, statuary, and stone patios. Photography permits must be obtained prior to your special event if you choose to use Vizcaya for your ceremony in addition to photographs.
If you’re searching for a spot that’s a little more cutting-edge and evocative, look no further than the Wynwood Walls. Formerly the site of disused warehouses, the walls feature works by a variety of acclaimed graffiti and street artists, including Kenny Scharf, Invader, and Shepard Fairey. The Wynwood Walls are open to the public, free of charge, and provide a unique, modern backdrop for a creative couple looking for something different for their wedding photographs.
The Ancient Spanish Monastery was constructed in 1925 from ruins of the circa-1133 A.D. Monastery of St. Bernard de Clairvaux that were shipped to Miami from Spain by William Randolph Hearst. With its cloisters, archways, gardens, and inspiring stone carvings, the monastery is the perfect setting for couples seeking a more traditional, sacred atmosphere for their wedding pictures. Photos can be taken in the Cloisters, the Loggia, or the Gardens.
Whether you’re looking for a traditional setting or a unique place to photograph your wedding or engagement pictures, Miami is perfect place for your unforgettable wedding. Just ask a photographer.
